The Mile High City and the big CO

For a part of my college life, I spent a great amount of time in Colorado doing summer internships at the University of Colorado Denver Medical campus. Of course I would work a 9-5 schedule but during my off time and weekends, I NEVER missed an opportunity to explore what the Mile High City had to offer. Just in Downtown Denver, there is so much to explore, 16th Street Mall, The Market Coffee Shop, Voodoo Donuts and Tattered Covered Books. Outside of Denver there are various other cities that have so much to offer. I spent a few days in Boulder and a few days in Glenwood Springs. Both are amazing places to visit outside of Denver's city life. They both offer more "Nature" less "City." Glenwood Springs is a Dutch inspired City with a Amusement Park on the top of the mountain where you can swing off the ledge, and Boulder has amazing hikes. Ive traveled by bus, by tram, by train and by light rail. All are a great method of getting around the CO.

I absolutely love the rich culture of Denver. There are amazing art (Chalk Art Festival, Museums, and Street Art along 16th Street Mall) great foods and cafes (The Market, Vandome, SNOOZE, and Sam No. 3), There are ALWAYS Free events around Denver: Cherry Creek Boat Races, 4th of July on Capitol Hill, and various ethnic celebrations. Colorado never disappoints. If you have any questions about my favorite locations throughout Denver, or my staycation in Glenwood Springs, Id be more than happy to answer them! :)
